Question: Brick and refractories to withstand 1700\u00b0C (3092\u00b0F)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Our std. high density castable refractory material is rated for 3000\u00b0F (1649\u00b0C).  There is 3100\u00b0F material available but is considerably more expensive and labour intensive to work with. <\/span>The point is why?  The incinerator will never exceed 2200\u00b0F (actually 2000\u00b0F), so what is the value? <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

TRHA Response: We have experienced temperature spikes in the past due primarily to lack of waste management at the various patient-care facilities and wish to have a machine that can handle flammables, aerosols etc.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Question: Surface temperature of the external wall shall not exceed 80\u00b0C (176\u00b0F). <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

This would most likely require dual casing.  However, they do not specify what normal operating combustion chamber temperature must be. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

TRHA Response<\/span><\/b>– <\/span>Current operating temperatures are rated at 1000\u00b0C in the primary chamber and 1500\u00b0C in the secondary chamber.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Question: \u201cThe burner configuration shall be designed to burn a minimum of 150 kg waste per cycle cycle.\u201d <\/span>What is to be considered a cycle, per hour, per day, ??? (assume this to mean per hour).<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

TRHA Response<\/span><\/b>: <\/span>A cycle is how much time the machine would take under normal operating conditions to destroy 150kg of waste. This time is to be specified by the supplier.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Question: How many hours per day will the system be operated? <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
