Including two sets of control schematic diagrams for all of the controls and wiring.  <\/p>\n<p> 1.1.7\u00a0\u00a0 BULK OIL STORAGE TANK <\/p>\n<p> The bulk oil storage tank minimal capacity of 10,200 litres and complying with BS 799 component 5: 1975 shall be positioned on three concrete cradles.  <\/p>\n<p> The works will include distribution, delivery, assembling, erection, testing, commissioning and setting to work.\u00a0  The tank is to be of welded mild steel type with a design pressure of\u00a0 40KN\/m2 and storage temperature of 240\u00a0 C.\u00a0  It is to be located adjacent to the incinerator and boiler house.  <\/p>\n<p> The tank shall be cylindrical with dished end and be constructed of 6mm thick block mild steel plates according to BS 1966.\u00a0  Number one quality galvanised materials will not be used.Welded construction parts shall be sprayed.  <\/p>\n<p> E-4 <\/p>\n<p> The tank shall be pressure tested with a total head of equal or water, measured from the bottom of the tank, and equivalent to 11\/2 times the sum of: <\/p>\n<p> (I) \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The height of the tank and<br \/>\n Solenoid valve<br \/>\n The chimney shall be lined with castable grade diatomaceous concrete mixed with high alumina cement in accordance with BS 4076: 1989.  <\/p>\n<p> The damper will control the closing of the door to not less than 85%.\u00a0  The pile is to allow fresh air at the stock&#8217;s foundation so the flue gases are discharged at not move then 4000 C and the discharge adheres to the British Clean Air Act, the National Environment Management Agency (NEMA) Act or other relevant acts.  .  <\/p>\n<p> 1.1.4\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 POWER SUPPLY <\/p>\n<p> The sub-contractor shall provide equipment that are suitable for running on a 415V, 3 phase, 50HZ or 240V, single phase, 50HZ electrical power supply.  <\/p>\n<p> 1.1.5\u00a0\u00a0 OIL STORAGE AND SUPPLY <\/p>\n<p> The system will consist of a bulk oil storage tank, daily tank, transfer hand fuel pump and associated pipe work.\u00a0  Oil from the bulk storage tank will be delivered to a high level daily tank located in the incinerator room by use of a transfer hand pump and automatic electric pump.  <\/p>\n<p> 1.1.6\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 SPARES AND MANUALS <\/p>\n<p> The tenderer is to submit with his tender a list of recommended initial stock of spares together with their costs.\u00a0  Part from the burner spares mentioned here below, the spares prices are not to be included in the primary summary of costs schedule but is to be separate and are meant to be ordered later if and when it becomes necessary and convenient to the client.\u00a0  The burner spares whose costs should be included in the primary summary of costs schedule (BQ) are:- <\/p>\n<p> I) \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a01No.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The number of British standard and type of tank <\/p>\n<p> The tank shall be installed using a 25mm fall towards the water drain-off tapping point.\u00a0  The distribution socket shall be extended inside the tank to prevent ingress of water from the distribution line.\u00a0  The principal contractor will assemble tank supports and bund walls to detail drawings produced by the sub-contractor.\u00a0  A valued drain away from the lowest part of the tank shall be supplied complete with tail pipe along with a provision for hose connection.  <\/p>\n<p> E-5 <\/p>\n<p> 1.1.8\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 TRANSFER HAND PUMP <\/p>\n<p> A semi rotary hand pump shall be provided for filling the afternoon storage tank from the oil drum.\u00a0  It will be installed complete with all the essential plumbing fittings and accessories.  <\/p>\n<p> 1.1.9\u00a0\u00a0 DAILY SERVICE TANK <\/p>\n<p> A daily storage tank of minimal capacity 1,800Litres shall be mounted at 2.5 metre high level from the incinerator room.\u00a0\u00a0  Tank shall be manufactured from 6mm thick pressed steel plates of 1220mm x 1220mm black mild steel sheet, complete with bolted cover and adequate venting.\u00a0  The tank shall conform to BS 799 component 5 1995 and be supplied with a contents grid.  The tank shall be lagged with 50mm thick fibre glass insulation of 0.4W\/m2 thermal conductivity and finished with 20SWG galvanized sheets cladding.  <\/p>\n<p> The tank shall be tested for any leaks of that if any is detected will be made good before the tank is painted externally with rust inhibiting paint.   <\/p>\n<p> 1.1.10\u00a0 AUXILLIARY EQUIPMENT <\/p>\n<p> All pipework used in the petroleum storage methods shall be to B.S. 1387 heavy grade.\u00a0  Joints shall be screwed, and adequate unions have to be provided to allow easy dismantling the equipment.  <\/p>\n<p> A 25mm diameter fire valve of the quick action lever operated dead weight type shall be set up, in the oil flow .\u00a0  This will be held in the open position by a light gauge steel cable attached to a fusible link.\u00a0  The fusible link shall be mounted directly over the burner.\u00a0  The warm burner oil feed pipe from the high level day tank shall be heated by an electrical tracing tape wrapped around the pipe.\u00a0  The pipe will then be coated with 25mm thick fibre glass insulation and finished with gauge 22swg galvanized steel sheet.  <\/p>\n<p> The distribution pipe from the bulk oil storage tank to the high level day was set up by others but the tenderer shall allow for connection to the high level day tank.\u00a0  The tenderer shall also provide and install high capacity strainers along the supply pipe and the burner feed pipe.  <\/p>\n<p> 1.1.11\u00a0\u00a0 PIPE SUPPORTS <\/p>\n<p> The variety and type of supports shall be kept to a minimum and their layout will be such as to facilitate secure and guide fixing to match concrete masonry or wood.  <\/p>\n<p> Consideration shall be given when designing supports to the maintenance of desired pipe fall and the controlling of pipe moves into a longitudinal axial direction only.  <\/p>\n<p> The sub-contractor shall provide and install all steel work forming part of pipe support assemblies and will be responsible for making good any damage to builders work associated with builders work installation.  <\/p>\n<p> Pipe runs will be secured by clips connected to pipe hangers, wall brackets or trapeze type supports.\u00a0  &#8216;U&#8217; bolts shall not be used for clips without prior approval of the Engineer.  <\/p>\n<p> The sub-contractor shall submit his entire proposal for the pipe supports to the Engineer for approval prior to any erection work starts.  <\/p>\n<p> 1.1.12\u00a0\u00a0 ELECTRICAL WORKS <\/p>\n<p> All wiring between items, plant and controllers shall be executed by the tenderer.  The tenderer shall provide adequate oversight to ensure that electrical connections are correctly made to all items of controls and equipment provided by him, all to the Project Manager&#8217;s \/ Engineer&#8217;s satisfaction.  <\/p>\n<p> E-6 <\/p>\n<p> 1.1.13\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 INCINERATOR TESTING AND COMMISSIONING <\/p>\n<p> The tenderer shall test and commission the incinerator in the presence of this Engineer.The tenderer will also provide sufficient oil to last at least two (2) hours.\u00a0  The tenderer shall commission and test the incinerator in the presence of the Engineer and confirm that the incinerator is working according to the specifications laid here-in and in the catalogues and guides from the suppliers of that incinerator.The incinerator performance test shall be completed in accordance to BS3316: component 4:1987. Should any defect be detected, it will be rectified and the testing process repeated to the Project Manager&#8217;s satisfaction.  <\/p>\n<p> 1.1.14\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0FIRE INSTRUCTION NOTICE <\/p>\n<p> Proceed and secure and install as below; <\/p>\n<p> Print fire education on the Perspex plate, 3mm thick with White Colour<br \/>\n Oil ignition system<br \/>\n(ii)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a075mm (3&#8243;) port socket screwed B-SP and pipe at the higher end of the tank using an unloading device to keep the rise in tank pressure above the design pressure.\u00a0  The vent pipe shall be free from bends and will have a constant rise while being as short as convenient.\u00a0  It will terminate in open atmosphere in a position where it can&#8217;t be tampered with.\u00a0  The open end will likely be turned down and fitted with an open mesh wire cage.<br \/>\n(ii)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0The layout head over the surface of the tank that&#8217;s 3.5m of water.  <\/p>\n<p> The pressure shall be raised slowly and steadily until the specified test pressure is reached and that pressure will be maintained for a time long enough to permit a comprehensive examination to be made to ensure that the tank is sound enough and shows no leaks or undue distortion.\u00a0  Welded joints shall be radiographed and a certificate issued.\u00a0  Should any defects be found, they will be made good and the test procedure repeated until the tank is certified to be sound.\u00a0  The tests shall be carried out in the presence of the Engineer and subsequently, the sub-contractor will provide the Engineer with the test certificate.  <\/p>\n<p> The tank will be cleaned externally and supplied with rust inhibiting primer before applying 2No.  Coats of bituminous paint.\u00a0  The interior shall also be cleaned and purged of any foreign matter before setting to work.  <\/p>\n<p> Ladders and platforms shall be thoroughly cleaned and freed from rust and scale and painted using a priming coat of approved paint.  <\/p>\n<p> The tank shall be supplied with the following:- <\/p>\n<p> (I)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0450mm bolted inspection covers liquid and vapour tight joint made with a gasket of fuel resistant materials.<br \/>\nProperly calibrated rod (of dip tape) and access ladder to the top of the tank.  <\/p>\n<p> The filling pipe shall be extended in the tank to within 150mm of tank bottom,<br \/>\n(v) \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a050mm diameter supply pipe<br \/>\nComplete with anti-siphoning device.  <\/p>\n<p> The following information shall be permanently and clearly marked on the tank on the<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Test pressure<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Manufacturer&#8217;s title of trade mark<br \/>\n(iii)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a065mm diameter filling pipe with hose coupling connection<br \/>\nWallpaper measuring 510mm lengthx380mm width as follows; <\/p>\n<p>Proceed and procure and install as below;<\/p>\n<p>Print fire instruction on the Perspex plate, 3mm thick with White Colour<br \/>\nBackground measuring 510mm lengthx380mm width as follows;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The tenderer shall provide hydrostatic oil contents gauge (level index ) or a Centre line near the outlet connection. iv)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a02No. Photo-electric cells Two sets of operating and maintenance manuals (both for the incinerator and burners) must also be provided.
