Puerto Gaitan’s elevation is approximately 149 meters  (489 feet) above mean sea level (MSL), the average ambient temperature is 28 ºC (82.4°F), the annual rainfall ranges from 2000 to 2700 mm (approximately 79 to 106 inches) and a relative humidity of 80% during the wet season and 64% during the dry season. The dry season runs from December to March and the rainy (wet) season from March to December.

 

Our Client is interested in purchasing an industrial Waste Incinerator system, with a daily capacity of 3 metric tons (MTPD), or 150 kg per hour (Kg/hr). The types of wastes to incinerate are the following:

If you can provide us with a system as described above, please submit to us price information and suitable models/sizes, including catalogues/brochures/leaflets, etc., that will provide the following information:

 

1.      Process Overview and recommended operating conditions

2.      A general process flow diagram (PFD) and/or a piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) for a typical unit

3.      Main features of the incineration unit and auxiliary equipment required (size, incineration capacity, energy efficiency factor, type of fuel(s) that unit can handle, amount of fuel used per hour by the incinerator and anticipated destruction efficiency for hazardous constituents)

4.      Residue left over from the incineration of waste materials and its final destination (landfill, hazardous waste landfill, compost etc.)

5.      Operating cost, fuel and maintenance

6.      Other Utility requirements: electricity (110, 220, 440 or other voltages and required amperage or wattage for each), process water, cooling water, etc.

7.      Preventive maintenance schedule and recommended frequency

8.      Staffing requirements. Required number of workers per shift plus support staff

9.      Training requirements for operating and maintenance staff

10. Minimum education level plus any specialized training, such as instrumentation, chemical plant operation and such.

11. Leading causes of equipment failure

12. Siting Requirements, incinerator layout (including plan and elevation views) and setup diagram (space requirements)

13. Layout diagrams should clearly show which components will be provided “By Others” (or “By Ownwer”) and which will be part of the “Vendor’s Package”

14. Can a unit this size be shipped as a single, skid-mounted unit, or will it require field assembly? (The unit will need to come to a Colombian port - probably the Port of Buenaventura - by ship, and either by flat-bed truck or by railroad car from Buenaventura to Puerto Gaitan.  Therefore, there may be size and weight limitations).

15. The total capital investment for the incineration system:

·         Purchased equipment costs, including flue gas scrubbing systems, monitoring equipment, control panel(s), etc.

·         The costs of installation (foundations, electrical, piping, etc.), if you provide this service.  If not, the cost of providing a trained consultant to be on-site during the installation of the unit

·         Costs related to the installation, including design, engineering, construction, start-up, testing, and contingencies.

·         Shipping cost to the Port of Buenaventura, Colombia (if you handle overseas shipping). 

16. An estimate of the Time required for the design, construction, equipment delivery, on-site assembly, commissioning and start-up of the Unit

17. Through the recovery of the waste heat, can we generate both electricity and useful heat (i.e. steam)? What would be the Additional Required Cost? And how much electricity can be produced?
